Ogle Bicycle Works is all about custom bicycle frames. We blend tradition with high-technology to create something extraordinary. Be it a classic lugged steel road frame or a modern titanium full suspension bike, it will fit and handle better than any production or 'semi-custom' bike ever could. Expert design, tight tolerances and careful alignment during assembly assure that. You'll appreciate the painstaking attention paid to every detail even when you're not riding your frame. It shows in the hand filed lugs, the even welds, the smoothly finished fillets and the thoughtful placement of fittings and cable stops. The finishing touch on every frame is an investment cast headtube badge. Handmade in small numbers, each one is unique. It's a small detail, but think of it as our guarantee that your frame is one of a kind and built to last.
In the pursuit of ever increasing quality we have an extensive racing program instead of a conventional R&D department. Under the stresses of competition, you quickly learn what works and what doesn't. We use the knowledge gained from our racing experience to build some of the best frames around. They're light, nimble and reliable. Even if you're not a racer, or you rarely ask for 100% from your body, isn't it nice to know you can always ask for 100% from your frame?
With few exceptions, Ogle Bicycle Works doesn't have specific frame models. Every person is unique and has unique needs from their bicycle: How it fits, how it handles, and how it looks. All of these variables are taken into consideration when we build a frame. We'll work with you to determine geometry, tubing dimensions, and braze-on locations. In other words, if you can dream it we can build it. We do have some ideas about special frame applications.
To complement your new frame we offer a variety of forks and complete bike packages. In addition to our custom forks we offer a variety of carbon road forks and suspension forks. Complete bike packages start with component groups from Campagnolo, Shimano and SRAM. We finish them with high quality parts from King, Mavic, WTB and Syncros, just to name a few. Frames:
Every frame built at Ogle Bicycle Works is custom designed to your measurements and completely handmade using the finest materials available. Each one includes an investment cast head badge, fanatical attention to detail, and your choice of braze-ons and cable routing.
- Titanium:
Our superb titanium frames are built from Ancotech 3Al/2.5V seamless aerospace grade titanium tubing with tapered chainstays, and Paragon Machine Works titanium dropouts, bottom-brackets and fittings.
The deluxe titanium frames add double-butted top, down and head tubes, tapered seatstays, and a two piece brass and copper headbadge. All titanium frames are left unpainted to show their natural beauty, and have either a brushed or satin finish.
Steel:
The steel frames use only premium tubing from Columbus, Reynolds, Tange and Dedacciai. They are assembled in a variety of methods using only high quality fittings, including Henry James dropouts and lugs. Standard finish is your choice of either a high quality powdercoat or single color Imron.
The deluxe steel frames include seatstay, chainstay, and bottle reinforcements, internal rear brake cable routing, and lug cutouts where appropriate.
Forks and Stems:
In addition to our high quality frames we also offer forks and stems fabricated from steel, stainless and titanium. The forks are available threaded or threadless, in many lengths for most any rim diameter. Stems are available from 30-200mm in length, and -30° to +60° rise.
