This is how this Indian was previously done. The spear was essentially a board with feathers down each side that was attached to the carving. The front edge was square not rounded and for all practical purposes, it looked like a board with feathers, not a spear. We loved the style of this Indian but the spear had to be changed. 

Once we described what we wanted, the carvers went to work and in no time, they produced exactly what we asked for.  Now, this is one of our favorite Indians. He is very well done and the quality of the spear matches the rest of the Indian perfectly.  Click here for additional views.
