The Cambie Recumboni

The Cambie recumboni is the ideal LWB for the serious cyclist. Its sporty look adds to the feeling of freedom we your riding this type of bike on the open road. We've been making this bike for some ten years now and it's still as enjoyable to ride as it was when the first one was built.

The Recumboni is made tough and durable with TIG welded 4130 cromoly steel. The frame is built to fit most riders - from 5 feet to 6 feet. Large size frames are available upon request. This frame is strong and we stand behind it!

The Cambie Recumbini

The Cambie Recumbini is our newest recumbent bicycle for 2000. Demand has shown us that many first time purchasers prefer a short wheel base recumbent over the hard working long wheel base models. Ideal for around town use, light touring or sport racing, this bike provides the rider with performance and maneuverability while still being practical in size and weight. Check it out!

Comfort is one of the obvious advantages a recumbent has over other bikes. While the upper body navigates the cycle, the lower limbs propel the bike. Just recline back and enjoy the view. You're sure to remember more of the ride than you had previously. Why short wheel base?

Many people prefer the SWB models because the foot position is higher than conventional long wheel base recumbents. The seat position is adjustable for various riders heights.

The Recumbini frame is constructed with TIG welded 4130 Cromoly steel tubing at .035 wall thickness. The strongest steel available for bicycle frames.

Tandem Recumboni

The Tandem Recumboni is constructed with TIG welded 4130 aircraft steel. Frames are made in batches and sent for custom bead blast and powder coating. Generally, colors change with each group of frames. Once painted, each tandem is built standard Shimano Components, usually to a customers specifications. Additional considerations at the time of frame construction would be S&S couplings for persons wanting to transport the bike on a regular basis and specific frame braze-ons for disc brakes or internal gearing.

Standard frames come with braces for drum brakes. These frames are guaranteed strong. The Tandem Recumboni frame is built to suit most riders. The cockpit of each tandem frame is crafted to fit most average body measurements - from 5'-4" to 6'-4". Large size frames can be custom ordered. This tandem is very graceful to ride and a breeze to handle. No strong pulling is required. If you're wanting to put in more miles with a special friend but can't because of different fitness/comfort levels this bike can level the playing field for both of you. Sit back and enjoy the scenery. You'll remember much more of the trip because you'll be looking forward for a change, not at the road. Try utilizing the IPS and allow your stoker to read maps, take pictures of the trip, or just relax.
